Frequently Asked Questions

How can I switch off an entire floor using the UPM Administrator

  1. Select the group which represents the floor you would like to switch off

  2. Right click the group and select the Announcement to send a notification of the power management function

  3. Right click the group and select the appropriate power management function

How can I view a prior days graphs

  1. Select the Dashboard view

  2. Select the Graphs tab page

  3. Select the required dates and press “Apply” the graphs will be automatically refreshed

How can I re-write the historic curves?

  1. Select “Settings” from the toolbar

  2. From “Run End of Day Statistics writer” select the required dates

  3. Press “Write”

How can I decrease the client heartbeat frequency

  1. Select “Settings” from the toolbar

  2. Select “Settings”

  3. Change the “Heartbeat Interval”

How can I test if Wake On LAN packets are reaching clients

  1. Select the computer to test from one of the following views:
    - Clients by group
    - All Clients

  2. From the context menu select: Wake On LAN -> Start WOL Listner
    Port 9 is used to sending WOL Packets.

  3. From the context menu select: Wake On LAN -> IP Directed

  4. If the WOL packet was routed successfully the client will notify the user with an alert

 
 

Power On is not working in Windows 7

  1. Open Power Options from the Control Panel.
    - Change View by to Large icons at the top right of the Control Panel if you can not find Power Options

  2. Select "Change plan settings"

  3. Select "Change advanced power settings"

  4. Select "Change settings that are currently unavailable"

  5. Select "Sleep" -> "Allow wake timers" and set to Enable then click OK to save the changes
